Nation Records was a creative concept dreamed up by Aki Nawaz and Kath Canoville, both came from the Punk scene, both of immigrant stock and from Bradford.

The label idea was to create a platform for people who wish to express themselves as progressive artists around a musical idea which had no barriers and saw the world as a great landscape of influence for their art.
